Artisane de la construction naturelle, collectif Mudgirls / Femmes de Boue
Je suis née au Guatemala. A l?âge de 12 ans, je suis arrivée en France.
J'ai fais des études en architecture et une fois mon diplôme en poche, me voilà partie sur les routes pour apprendre à construire de mes propres mains ! C'est comme ça que mon histoire avec la terre a recommencé puisque jusque là tous mes ancêtres, mes parents y compris sont né-e-s dans des maisons en adobe (briques de terre crue).
En France, je me suis formée à la technique de construction en paille avec l'association Botmobil.
Puis, je suis partie vers l'ouest Canadien où j'ai vécu et travaillé dans un premier temps dans un écovillage sur l'île de Vancouver (OURecovillage). J'ai eu la chance de travailler avec Elke Cole pionnière dans la construction en Cob (bauge en français).
Lors de ce séjour, j'ai rencontré Mélisande, constructrice québécoise, membre des Mudgirls, collectif de construction féminin.J'ai participé à nombre des chantiers Mudgirls et suis devenue ensuite une des leurs à mon plus grand bonheur.
Ces dernières années je suis retournée au Guatemala pour retrouver la construction en terre et explorer d'autres techniques.
Aujourd'hui, je suis de retour en France riche de toute cette expérience dans le continent américain. Je suis heureuse de pouvoir faire le pont entre des traditions ancestrales et des nouvelles techniques autour de la construction en terre et fibres végétales entre les différents continents (Europe et Amérique). J'ai plaisir à naviguer entre ces différents mondes.
Je veux partager toute cette expérience, ce savoir -faire parmi vous et inspirer des hommes, des femmes, des enfants.
La terre me permet d'aller retrouver le lien avec des cultures anciennes tout en vivant dans le mode d'aujourd'hui. Elle me permet aussi d'aller retrouver mon pouvoir ( ce fameux empowerment en anglais) ; d'aller chercher au fond de moi ce dont je suis capable avec mon corps, ma force, mon esprit, mes envies, mes besoins, mes rêves.
C'est à travers le travail de la terre que j'ai pu imaginer, explorer d'autres rapports humains, d'autres façons de communiquer, d'autres rapports à mon corps. L'expérience avec les Mudgirls a été pour moi un des moments clés dans cet apprentissage de ce savoir-être. La construction écologique devenait aussi de la construction humaine!
La terre me permet de mettre en place des structures ( maisons, fours, bancs,murs, peintures....) respectueuses de mon corps, de la nature, des animaux, des êtres qui m'entourent et de pouvoir être légitime et cohérente dans ma vie. Le parcours vers cette cohérence n'est pas simple pour la femme que je suis pleine de désirs multiples dans une société industrialisée, de consommation, capitaliste mais je trouve dans la terre une sorte de refuge, d'amie, d'outil qui m'aide dans ce chemin.
Je veux vous inviter dans cette exploration vers cette vie que je voudrais pour aujourd'hui;
une vie où chacun puisse trouver son pouvoir au fond de lui même, en prenant soin de lui-même et de tous les êtres qui l'entourent.
