” Women always lie about their weight”, you mean even the skinny ones who weight like 120 lbs? Do you even know what you’re talking about? Before making generalizations that don’t even make sense and calling a whole gender liar on something futile.
Also I would like to remind you that this is America and not Europe so Average here means overweight in Paris. Don’t be surprised then because I have a lot of men calling themselves athletic but so far from my idea of it, however I don’t call all men liars.

In my experience athletic usually means slightly overweight aka “big boned”, and I live in a town full of triathletes and extreme sports enthusiasts.
